LinkPoint Connect - the basics

Here is some useful information about how to configure LinkPoint Connect Accounts
(formerly known as LinkpointHTML or Linkpoint Basic) with AgoraCart:
1. Login at the LinkPoint control panel: https://www.linkpointcentral.com/
2. Set your Linkpoint account to test mode:
- Click on admin link
- Click on Choose to run transactions in live or test mode link
- Select test mode, then press submit
- On Mode Change confirmation screen, press okay button
3. Click on Customization link
4. Click on the Configure your LinkPoint Connect link, next to settings.
5. Enter your Submission Form URL (text only) link, which will look something like these examples:
http://www.mycompany.com/store/agora.cgi
- SSL:
https://www.mycompany.com/store/agora.cgi
- Shared SSL:
https://secure.hostcompany.com/~username/store/agora.cgi
6. Enter your Confirmation URL (text only): link, which will look something like these examples:

http://www.mycompany.com/store/agora.cgi
-
SSL: https://www.mycompany.com/store/agora.cgi
- Shared SSL:
https://secure.hostcompany.com/~username/store/agora.cgi
7. Select the box next to URL is a CGI script in the Confirmation URL settings area. 8. this is optional but a good idea - works best if using SSL or shared SSL.
Select the Auto-Forwarding box next to Automatically display specified URL after the LinkPoint HTML receipt page in the Confirmation URL settings area. This will automatically forward the customer to your store once the payment is completed successfully, leaving less chance for missing order logs and confirmation emails not sent from the cart.
Also set the Failure Page URL. This can be the cart too, but only if you have customized the cart for failure responses in the CGI code. Otherwise set it to a static page of your choice.
8. Login to your store manager, which will look something similar to this URL structure:
http://www.yourdomain.net/store-directory-name/protected/manager.cgi
(note: make sure to have the www. in the store manager URL)
9. Select the Program Settings link
10. Select the Main AgoraCart Store Settings button
11. make sure Linkpoint is selected as the main gateway, then save the settings. Dependent upon your version it will be named:
- LinkpointHTML
- LinkpointBasic
- LinkpointConnect
12. Then select the Payment Gateway link at the top of the store manager areas.
13. Enter your store ID number, usually 6 digits.
14. Make sure the path to linkpoint is as follows:
https://www.linkpointcentral.com/lpc/servlet/lppay
15. Run a test order. Confirm order logging, appropriate return to store, and confirmation orders.
16. Delete test orders in LinkpointCentral areas ASAP.
17. If successful, set store to live mode at LinkPointCentral.com:
- Click on admin link
- Click on Choose to run transactions in live or test mode link
- Select test mode, then press submit
- On Mode Change confirmation screen, press okay button
